The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette. Featuring a 283ci V8 with an optional high-compression Duntov-cam, the flagship of GM's fleet was good for a stonking 290bhp and sprints to 100km/h (62mph) in 8 seconds. Legend has it that these cars were delivered to owners with small stickers on the windsheild warning that these cars were "Not For Road Use". It was of course a marketing ploy, but performance of the Corvette was considerable and no doubt lethal in the wrong hands.

This drawing has been given a custom bonnet badge and the roofline has been chopped by two inches. The numberplate has a more modern-era Chevrolet emblem.

This is my first mixed medium picture, done with graphite and ink. Hope you guys like it!

Time: 65 hours
Materials: Derwent F-9B Graphic Softs, Derwent Onyx pencils, Pitt Oil Base Extra Soft Black, Copic Multiliners (Fine) Kneading Eraser & Tortillons

I keep scrap paper handy and when I do pull out the pencils and gear up (it's like a ritual, LOL - I wipe everything down, organize my "space" and take a deeeeeeeep breath!), I keep a note of how many minutes or hours I spend drawing for any given session and make a note. I think spending 50 hours is way too long, 65 hours is ridiculous, but the results are worth it... ;)
